Since the Halifax current has been quite strong and consistent, the current correction was turned on to help fight it by issuing the following command: !put u_use_current_correction 1

On Monday August 5th, Shannah and Adam went out to remove 4 wing rail weights from the glider, and do a external visual inspection. Water samples and hyperpro casts were performed. The reason for removing the weights is because in this mission the surface water has a very low density making it difficult for the glider to surface. Removing a few weights (~40 g) helped the glider surface. In the morning at the 6 am surfacing the mission was aborted by Adam, and the glider was put in the lastgasp mission to hold station. Around noontime the glider was redeployed and a mission to run to station 3 and back home was started.

On Thursday August 8th, the glider was re-programed to go to HL5 instead of HL3 by changing the GOTO_L10.MA file.
