We deployed the glider off the SigmaT. The skies were overcast with winds about 10-15 knots from the west and waves < 1 m. Water samples were taken at 1 m and 20 m for oxygen, chl, CDOM and particulate absorption. The plan for this mission is for the glider to head past Emerald basin and then wait around there for the Hudson to perform a BIONESS sample.

Looks like the science computer had a warning and we lost about 4 hours worth of science data on the first 6 hour segment.

We got a few false yo's while in Emerald Basin. At 11:00 pm (local) on the 4th of April, I set the minimum altimeter depth to 15 m to further prevent this. >>!put u_alt_min_depth 15

Since the Hudson departure is delayed, the waypoints were updated at 11:00 pm on 2015-04-06 to head to HL5 instead of HL4.

Looks like we are capturing the spring bloom on Emerald bank.

At the 4:45 am (local) surfacing 14-Apr-2015, the mission waypoints were updated to get the glider to perform a zigzag along the SE portion of Emerald Basin.

At the ~10:45 am (local) surfacing on 14-Apr-2015 the surfacing script had a bug and had the glider running in an infinite loop while at the surface, continually trying to set the m_iridium_attempt_num to 0 and not getting out of that state. Eventually the glider aborted mission because it said that m_depth wasn't updating. I was fairly confident it was because of the buggy surface script, so I restarted the mission and shut off the faulty script (sciMaIridum.xml). The script, sendSciAndZeroIridiumCtrlW.xml is the working one and was started.

Note, that when the mission was restarted, the minimum depth at which the altimeter turns on was reset back to 5 meters. This will have to be updated to 15 meters while we are offshore.

u_alt_min_depth was set to 15 meters at the 6:00 pm (local) surfacing on Apr-14th.

On 17-Apr-2015 (~10:30 am local) the glider finished the emerald basin zigzag and finished its mission. It was on surface and lastgasp for about an hour before we caught it and sent it back on mission to head to shore. At about 5:15 pm local the minimum altimeter depth was set to 15 meters, and the sampling rate was changed to every second yo for all instruments in order to conserve battery power.

At 2015-04-23 at 11:10 am (local) the current correction was turned off and the minimum altimeter depth was set to 5 meters instead of 15.
