DAL556 was deployed on 2017-06-05 15:26 UTC off of Cape Sable, NS with using the boat, Le Fish with Lauréat LeLievre as the captain. There is a DMON, and unpumped CTD and a VMT on this glider. The purpose of this mission is to patrol in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in efforts to further understand the habitat of whales by measuring their presence, and the water properties.

DAL556 was picked up by a local fisherman around 2017-06-06 00:29 UTC. After talking with me he put it back in the water. A few tests were done and it was deemed working so it was sent back in mission.

The goto file was set to go to next waypoint after last achieved on 2016-06-07 19:09 UTC.

The glider is having a hard time reaching wpt#2. It has made it close enough so we are going to skip it and go to wpt#3.

Dal556 is struggling to make it up to wpt # 3, it is again close enough so we will head across to wpt #4

dal556 has been struggling to breach the surface in this newly encountered low density (1018.3kg/m^3) water. The goto file was updated to have dal556 head east to wpt 5 in order to avoid this water mass. The yo10.ma file was also updated increasing the surface inflection depth from 6m to 12m, to stay below this steep density gradient.

Dal556 is having a hard time getting to the surface again with densities in the low 1018's. I am sending it to wpt 7 to search for denser waters.

Updated the yo10.ma file so that the glider performs the upper inflection at 14 m instead of 12 m. The top of the yo was in a pycnocline and it was struggling.
